Hangovers permitting the weekend of 1st/2nd December sees as many of us as possible supporting the Newbiggin Winter Open at Queen Elizabeth Park – yes a cold small inland lake but a really warm welcome in the bacon butty tent!
On Sunday 9th it is our working party where we put the club ‘to bed’ for the winter. There are many jobs to do here and as many of you as possible are welcome to help us. We always have a small party afterwards in the afternoon to use up any food left in the fridge/freezer (but do please bring a small contribution of food). If time permits I hope to put up a list of jobs on the web site and you will be able to reserve your place for a specific job if you want. If you have benefited from the club this year then please put a little back.
Over the winter I will keep you updated with progress on the initiatives I set out in my last blog entry and will of course be delivering a revamped web site. If you have anything specific you would like to see on the web site please let me know.
As I write this entry we are in the throws of preparing an application for RYA Club of the Year - I will let you know how we get on over the winter.
I hope to see as many of you as possible over the next four weekends – best wishes.
